Junior Church

When, Where and What!

The Junior Church meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month during school term times in the Church Hall at St Mary's. We begin all together in church at 10.40 am and then the leaders and the young people make their way during the first hymn to their various groups.

We follow a Scripture Union syllabus which is interesting and stimulating for the young people and we have activities that are appropriate for each age group.

Splash! - this is for Foundation 2 through to year 3
Xstream - Year 4 through to year 6
y:church - Year 7 through to year 11

This said, we are flexible over ages and would rather the young people are with other people they know and are happy.

Child Protection
We take the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults seriously and we have a comprehensive Child Protection Policy in place which is updated each year. All our leaders are CRB checked and a register is taken at every group. As well as this each child is required to have a Registration Form completed by a parent or carer.

You are always welcome to accompany your child to their group if you, or they, feel unsure about anything.

We have changed the name of this SU group as we didn't feel that Substance was that appropriate
