Rebekah Says Thank You
I have had a great year as the Wistaston Rose Queen. Thank you for all your support which has helped my chosen charity: St Luke’s Hospice. At the time of choosing my charity I didn’t know much about the work of the hospice, but through visiting the hospice, I have become more aware of the important work that the hospice does and the care it provides.
During my time as Rose Queen I have raised money through various events including: selling strawberries and cream at the Village Fête, a Jamie Oliver Party, a cake stall and a concert by Delta Brass, selling Christmas Cards and a quiz evening.
Being involved with St Luke’s has made me realise how important the work of the hospice is and how much money is needed to run it. I am really pleased that I chose St Luke’s as my charity for the year and I hope to continue supporting it.
Thank you to all those who supported my Rose Queen Quiz Night on 13 May, the total raised was £500.00! This takes my total for the year to £2,268.67. Thanks again
Rebekah.
